What you will learn in this track

You will learn why a clear business model is the starting point for conversion and scaling. The course explains the Business Model Canvas, walks you through the Online Shop Canvas, and shows how customer segments, value propositions, channels, and unit economics work together.

  • After completing this module, you'll be able to explain why static three-year business plans fail as a management tool in the volatile, uncertain world of e-commerce (VUCA), and you'll use the Online Shop Canvas as a living document you can quickly adapt when the market shifts, rather than clinging to outdated assumptions.
  • After completing this module, you'll be able to map your business model across the nine fields of the Online Shop Canvas, with the value proposition at the center, and use the Canvas as a management tool by checking every initiative against the field it affects and making sure your offer, customer segments, and channels all fit together consistently.
  • After completing this module, you'll be able to segment your customer groups by job-to-be-done rather than demographics, turn those insights into a value proposition that speaks to customer benefits instead of product features, and use a prioritization matrix to decide which segment to focus on. No more broadcasting to "eighteen to ninety-nine" and hoping for the best.
  • By the end of this module, you'll be able to select your traffic channels from the canvas based on customer group, purchasing behavior, and speed, build intentional customer relationships that extend beyond the first purchase, and use the LTV:CAC ratio to explain why retention is the most important and profitable growth lever. Depth in a few channels beats broad distribution.
  • By the end of this module, you'll be able to assess the financial health of your shop: you'll distinguish between fixed, variable, and hidden costs, identify untapped revenue streams, and use your LTV:CAC ratio to tell whether your model can actually scale or whether you're just creating more work for yourself.
